The Temple Beth Israel Library was established in 1985 where it was located in the one meeting room of the Temple. Today, it resides in its own quarters in the Temple with a collection of Judaica of more than 4000 volumes, including videos, DVDs, audio-books, and cassettes.

Under the guidance of Miriam Miller, our former librarian, the library is considered to have one of the finest collections of books of Jewish content on the West Coast of Florida. It boasts a comprehensive reference section for study and research, fiction and non-fiction with a Jewish connection and by Jewish authors. It continues to add new books so that members are treated to the latest publications.

In October, 2008 Marge Sandy assumed the responsibility of librarian upon the retirement of Miriam Miller. Marge presided until 2014, when Amy Roth rose to the challenge and is the current TBI Librarian.

This is a true lending library available to all members of the Congregation.

A group of dedicated volunteers who assist in the cataloging and handling of all library activities staff the Library.
